Hi my partner(76) is on his first cycle second week of Capox chemo. Hes also got heart failure and prescribed a couple more heart drugs a couple of days ago. His swollen ankles have disappeared almost overnight.
He was ok yesterday - today tried to get out of bed (late as massive fatigue has also just set in) to have some food.
Ended up using the office chair to get from bed into the living room as chair got wheels. I went out to throw a few watering cans of water onto the garden and when I got back he'd wet himself as couldn't get to the loo. He says he can feel the drugs in his legs after he's taken the 4000mg?
I've cleaned him and the floor up. Got him washed and back to bed and he's ok and got wee bottles for bed. He's had them since a bout of sciatica a couple of years ago.
Am just wondering if weakness in legs is a developing side effect? He's got a call w the team tomorrow on so I hope they can help. But not sure what we'll do if he needs a bowel movement!? I'm wondering if psychosomatic but it does list limb weakness in the booklet they give you as well as fatigue. .

Not cheeky - u need all info u can get - he was referred to ACERS and he's on a water tablet (second one tried called bumetenide 1mg. Was also on and seems to be staying on Enalapril 20mg am an
mg pm. Added recently which have had massive effect on swollen ankles and feet is spironolactone 25mg for 3 days and if tolerated added in Dapaglifozin 10mg. So tbf I don't know if it's new heaeds or the Capox but Capox side effects say weak limbs so going with that for now♀️

I’ll see what my mums on next time I go up as the current ones don’t seem to be making a lot of difference. To add a name in green/tag someone you use the @ and then start typing their user name (no space after the @) and a drop down box should appear with the name in for you to click on
