Hi my 83 year old dad has had bowel cancer for the last year stage 2 2 . We are waiting on the results of a scan to establish if the tumour has grown. in addition to the fullness feeling and all the other symptoms he also has a sinking sensation. I have read that this can happen? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thank you in advance.
Hello Mkr
I am Brian, one of the Community Champions here at Macmillan.
i have noticed your post has gone unanswered. I can't answer it myself as I have a different cancer, however by me replying, your post will be "bumped up" to the top of the page and I hope, seen and replied to by other members of the Bowel group.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Mkr,
I'm assuming that your dad is on palliative treatment?
At his next consult let them know your concerns. There are different lines of treatment.
They may switch him to a different drug combo to knock it back again.
Good luck
Yes he’s on palliative care but no medication because of f his age and the fact that he has late stage dementia .
Lots for you to cope with. I'm not the best to advise for your situation.
Do you have a Macmillan unit at your hospital? Or a nearby hospice who can provide practical help and personalised advice?
Marie Curie are outstanding too.
You don't have to do it all alone.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
