Good morning to anyone who wants to read this.
im 63 at the end of this month and for a early birthday present to myself I learned that i
have rectal/colon cancer. I am in my 2nd week of radiotherapy.
im totally new to writing anything like this having never tried it before so my I apologise in advance if I get it wrong, please correct me if I’ve made a mistake.
my thoughts are with anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer and I hope that we all get through today knowing that we are being cared for by the most amazing people on planet earth.
Hi Tubs and a warm welcome to the board from me. Your post is absolutely fine although I’m not sure about your choice of birthday present - maybe something nicer on the actual day?!
Hope the radiotherapy is going well? It can be very effective at shrinking the tumour prior to surgery and shrank mine from 4cm to 1cm.
Lots of support and advice on here and if you click on people names then their profile page may show their treatment to date. Bowel cancer is very treatable so keep going and we’re all here to listen and help if we can
Take care
Karen x
