Just joined the forum. My husband has just had high anterior bowel resection for colon cancer. He had T2 N1 M0. He was expecting it to be stage 1 so was devastated when it was Stage 3. It was made worse because he found out he had bowel cancer after we were preparing for his younger brother's funeral. He died within 2 weeks from primary renal cancer which had metastasised to brain, spine, liver and lungs. So he was grieving from that loss straight into this. He has got a place on the TRACC C trial...randomised to the active group. He has found out he is ctDNA negative so is waiting to start capecitabine shortly. We feel like we are still trying to come to terms with everything at the moment and wondering how the capecitabine will affect him. We have not seen our grandson who lives overseas since October and he's wanting to visit but we're not sure whether to invite him for my husbands first rest week of his first cycle.
