Hi everyone
So glad to find this forum, Im looking for advice and support so looks like I'm in the right place
I had a colonoscopy and a polyp was removed, consultant has since told me pathology have confirmed the polyp was cancerous.
Ive now had both my CT scan and MRI scan and waiting on MDT review next friday.
Im trying to stay positive as I'm told the CT scan didnt flag anything but i find I get a few positive days where I tell myself its all going to be fine then a negative day where you just think "what if"
Anyway just wanted to say hi
Hi RayShift and a warm welcome to the board. Yes the waiting for scans and meetings is very stressful but once you have a treatment plan in place then things will honestly feel a bit better.
Bowel cancer is notoriously slow growing but very treatable so try to keep the positive thoughts going. There’s lots of success stories on here - I was diagnosed in 2016 and I’m still ‘no evidence of disease’. Stay away from google - you can ask anything you like on here - we’re all at different stages of treatment and recovery and happy to share experience and advice.
Take care and please let us know how you get on?
Karen x
