Hi everyone.
Just after some advice really on what to expect? I’m absolutely lost & feeling slightly numb. Went to the drs back in October, with bleeding and changes to my toilet habits. Loosing weight and struggling to put it on etc. extreme fatigue, night sweats etc. they didn’t do any bloods, had an examination, they put it down to piles even though none were present. Said cancer was out since I was only 33. Fast forward to last week and I went back, symptoms have escalated and finally I got took seriously.
so, I had a FIT test, as well as two other stool samples, bloods and an examination. Examination presented a lump found.
all samples indicated positive and suspected cancer. bloods showed that I am anemic, low folate levels and low vitamin b12 even though I only had the injection 2 weeks ago.
the dr has referred me on the urgent suspected cancer pathway.
I had a phonecall from a specialist nurse from the endoscopy unit who works alongside McMillan and I have a colonoscopy scheduled on Tuesday as well as booking me in for a number of other tests. CT, MRI, etc.
im absolutely terrified but at the same time I feel relieved, I feel so poorly, it’s really strange. I don’t know whether it’s all in my head since I heard the words “cancer” but can anyone relate?
just after a bit of comfort I guess.
Thank you x
