Good morning,
Adrian here 55 year old male, diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer back in December 24, had surgery in March 25 and again in April, followed by 6 months chemo from May to November. Still of work due to Neuropathy, although looking to change job to something more sedate as being stuck in house is driving me potty.
Doctors cant tell me how long the neuropathy will last for, or if it will ever fully dissipate, which is frustrating.
Anyway, look forward to being on this forum
Hi Adrian S and a warm welcome to the board. Yes the neuropathy is annoying and hard to predict if it will improve or not. I had chemo in 2017 and the soles of my feet still feel like I have permanent sunburn but fortunately my hands are ok. There’s a few ideas in the post below but I’ve not tried them myself!
Hope you’re finding the board helpful and look forward to hearing about your career change
Take care

Hi Karen
Thank you for your reply. My current job, when I was in work, is on a Bull Stud, working with animals up to one and a half tonne, and being constantly on my feet all day. This is not something I can do in my present condition, but I feel the need to be up and earning somehow. So I have applied for a job as a P.A.T. tester. My C.V. must have impressed as I have an interview on Wednesday. Perhaps being ex military and having done H & S courses helped, who knows.
Will keep updating as anything further develops.
Adrian
