I’m now 2 weeks post op after an extended right hemicolectomy.
Looking to hear from others
Hi Peony. I had my right hemicolectomy on 1 July. Came home from hospital on 7 July. Operation was keyhole but needed a bigger hole to get tumor out so have a cut around 5 inches across from belly button. I meet surgeon on 25 July where I hopefully find out what it was and whether cancerous or not.
not doing too bad at home now bowels have started working again and settled down. I’m still on paracetamol, not sure how long you should be taking this for but I can tell when wearing off. I’m managing to now eat lasagne, cottage pie etc without any affects. Even had a cheeky small glass of wine last night!
how are you doing?
