Wife's positive fit test

My wife's fit test has come back.positive. she has been referred and has a telephone consultation on Friday. I know that the test result may be due to other things rather than cancer. My question is should she be offered a colonscopy procedure as standard?

Thank you so much for thinking about me. The prep is just starting to kick so I’m lying in bed watching telly and I’m only about four or five steps to the ensuite. I’ll let you know how I get on and I’m so touched by your concern.

All good yesterday. Found six polyps which they removed and some diverticulitis. He said there was no cancer so that was a huge relief. Your Lorraine and I can get on with our lives.
