I started my chemo on 1st July, done initially through intravenous drip in hospital, home to house with 500 gram capercitabine3 tablets twice daily, and 150 gram Capercitabine 2 tablets twice daily, also steroid tablets and antisickness tablets, cut a long story short, couldn't stop being sick, changed my anti sickness twice and ended up in hospital as was not keeping anything down. Has any body else been on this medication, I know not everybody will have same experiences. Consultant now talking about FOLFOX using picc line, a bit apprehensive, as really don't want to spend time in hospital again if really sick, any feed back appreciated.
Hi Linda1004
I had 5 rounds of FOLFOX in early 2021 via PICC line. I very occasionally felt nauseous but I wasn't sick and I didn't need the anti sickness tablets. I often didn't feel like eating, but if food was put in front of me I found I could eat it although it mostly tasted of cardboard. The worst part of FOLFOX, I found, was the progressive weariness.
Best wishes
