Hi guys,
Well it's day9 after my hipec surgery and resection. Everything went well apparently. Apart from getting sepsis which I'm still in antibiotics for. I spent a week on ICU and all, all the staff were amazing, out off this world. The even come and see now I'm on a ward, actually private room in the Hampshire clinic hot another 10 days in here I think then home. Can't wait. Been a bit emotional today but it's to be expected.
I pray this op has done what it intended as I can't do anything like this again. Off to have a cup of tea and a snivel i think.
Take care and stay safe.
Hi Dogman and good to hear that you’re on the mend. Sounds like you’ve had a bit of a scary time and sometimes it can hit you so you’re entitled to a snivel. I tried to remember the mantra of ‘this too shall pass’ and it will so try to get up and about (if you’re allowed) and walk up and down the ward and tick off the days until you’re back in your own bed.
Take care
Karen x
Hi Dogman
So pleased to read you are safely through surgery . It’s a big op so totally understandable that it will take time to recover .
You have done exceptionally well as it is classed as a very extensive op .
You rest up and we are here to keep
cheering you on .
Take care ,
