Hi all,
My name is shell i have recently joined this community for support. I am currently having treatment for bowel cancer liver and ovarian cancer had 15 treatments so far, unfortunately chemo stopped working and currently trying a new chemo treatment. Can anybody offer any advice that is experiencing a similar situation. Thank you
Hi Shell.donut
Sorry for late reply but welcome . I had slipped away for a small holiday and was travelling.
Sorry to hear that you are changing treatments but it can happen and quite often after a period of time a second line is used to challenge the cancer cells .
Do you know the name of the current treatment.
My mum used the one chemo combination for two years , then a few surgeries. Currently she is using Cetuximab on its own and gaining stability with it .
Do you know your cell type ?
Take care and apologies once again . I was trying to squeeze a family holiday in around my mum’s treatments . I take her to them so it’s all got to be planned . You know how it goes !
Have you got support around you ?
Take care ,
Court
