Hi I have been diagnosed with colon cancer, and am awaiting my op. I was too anaemic to have it on my given date and have now had two iron infusions which I am hoping will have changed improved my bloods. Anyone else experienced this as I am concerned it will be put off again if there is little or no improvement !
Hi Bowskill19
This comes up from time to time . The tumour bleeding is resulting in anaemia often has to addressed prior to chemo or surgery going ahead . It is also the way a lot of people are diagnosed.
They will sort you out and address this frequently. It’s just such an anxious time but you will get there .
Take special care ,

Hi Bowskill19 as COURT said it is common the bleeding from the tumour my husband had the same he had blood clots first anaemic and iron transfusion then operation it was delayed but it did not effect the outcome as you maybe know they are very slow growing just have to trust them glad you had the iron I'm sure things will go ahead soon good luck x
