Evening all,
having a bit of a panic, just had a phone call to book me in for an abdominal ultrasound tomorrow, had surgery back in November and been having chemo for just over 6 months. Not had any scans since it all started, I hate when they throw things out of the blue at me. Making me feel very on edge and anxious!

It is totally understandable that you’re on edge. I would feel the same I’ve had scary moments through my treatment/monitoring and I hope that is just a tick box or double check

Could it be worth contacting your colorectal nurse team to ask them what triggered scan request?
It may be helpful to find out if it's standard surveillance from your hospital trust or whether something like a blood test has flagged something they want to check.
