Hi guys, I was diagnosed with lower bowel cancer in 2020. I went through the chemo and radiotherapy which was successful until a recent endoscope revealed it had returned.
I had an MRI.on Monday passed and now go to see my consultant on Friday, I am dreading this consultation for fear of hearing it has spread.
The next 48 hours are going to be a nightmare .
Any advice, please?
Hi Robby63 I’m so sorry to hear that you have found your cancer has returned. I know it’s easier said than done, but try not to assume it has spread. I had chemoradiotherapy for bowel cancer, but had to have surgery to remove it. The fact that it has been picked up with an endoscopy is a good thing. The waiting never gets any easier, so I’m not going to lie. Keep busy, talk about your worries, with family and friends if possible. This community is here and can help to support you through this difficult time. Hopefully someone else will be along soon with some wise words. Take care and good luck for Friday.
