Hi all,
Got out of hospital 2 weeks ago after spending 4 weeks in hospital, due to a mis diagnosed bowel problem by my local surgery
Took myself to a+e with excruciating tummy pain, woke next day to be told I had just had major bowel surgery to remove a closed loop blockage(tumor), many issues during surgery. However my surgeons were brilliant.
Took me nearly a week before I was well enough to talk to head surgeon, I was told another 24-36hrs and I would not have made it.
Due to complications I was not well enough to leave for another 3 weeks.
Now been home 2 weeks and recovering well thanks to help from Macmillan.
Start Chemo next week and active against cancer physio , things are looking up,
Thanks for reading my ramblings

Hi Jiffey.
What an eventful couple if months you've had. I hope you can allow some lovely friends or family to help emotionally and practically, while you come to terms with things.
Delighted to read you're recovering well now
If you feel like it, updating your profile can help other members learn a bit about you and be able to share helpful experiences with you.
Hope physio and chemo both go well.
Thank you very much for that, always nice to hear from others
My wife has been my rock and guide, Macmillan nurses and staff have been great, just need to learn to slow down
