I'm booked in for Thursday for a second colonoscopy at which time they're going to remove three polyps just inside the rectum. Any results they get from these will help the decision on whether I'll just need surgery to remove the cancer, or chemo too.
Feeling so bloody nervous right now. So many different thoughts going through my head
I can imagine how you’re feeling right now. Easy for me to say, but having had bowel cancer in 2019, I can only comment on my experience. Mine was in the rectum and I gad radiotherapy with chemotherapy tablets. Much less aggressive and destructive on the body. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you that it’s the same for you.
Tony1960 Hi Tony. Yes the initial tests/scans/waiting for results is very stressful but once you and your medical team know what they’re dealing with then a treatment plan can be put in place and things will honestly feel a bit better.
Bowel cancer is very treatable and there are lots of people on here who’ve been where you are and will be happy to help and support you through this
Take care
