Terrified positive Fit test - Please help

Hello ilkleymoor - please try not to panic! Colonoscopy is just a screening tool - it’s good to follow up on the FIT test…. I’m sure in many if not most cases the outcome of a colonoscopy reassures people referred for one.

Please don’t worry my husband’s had a few Positive tests that have meant a colonoscopy. Diagnosis was. Polyps then IBS then Diverticulitis. He had symptoms of inflammation in the Bowel. No cancer found just adjusted his diet

i didn’t think ibs could cause blood in stool 

Well I think the polyps caused the blood and the symptoms of erratic stools gave the concern of something more that polyps so IBS was diagnosed but it carried on and further tests later on they said it was now Diverticulitis.

Try not to worry I know that’s easier said than done as worried terribly for Joe and he was fine  Well he gets flare ups but has a handle on it
