Hello all I have been a member for some time linked to my hubby who has had Bowel cancer etc all in my profile. He is doing well but i would like ro ask if anyone can share experiences of liver cancer. His sister has just been diagnosed and we now know it’s in her liver but they don’t know where primary is they have suggested biopsy to help diagnostics. Whilst my husband has had biopsies on lungs and kidney he hasn’t had for liver his sister is looking for thoughts on what it entails etc so I thought I would ask on here. Thank you in advance for any replies x

So sorry to hear this process .
Cancer research U.K. has quite a good fact sheet as it goes into the various types of biopsy they can use .
My mum never had one as they got a sample from her bowel . I have noticed a small subgroup of bowel cancer patients where they can’t locate the primary and therefore have to go through the biopsy process .
Thinking of you all ,
