Morning all
I was diagnosed in July 2022 following a FIT test completed as I turned 60.
From diagnosis to operation was 22 days and I will always be thankful for that postal test, My tumour was 5 cm and I had 18 cm of bowel removed and was staged at T3 N1 M0 and I have just completed 4 rounds of CAPOX, manageable except the 4th round which wiped me out. Now waiting for follow up bloods and hopefully I will require no further treatment . I have found the Bowel Cancer forum very supportive but have also been recommended to this forum. I hope everyone had a peaceful Christmas and a Healthy New Year
Welcome Mel M
Just wanted to welcome you to the forum . My mum was picked up on a bowel screen too . One of the first to complete them in her area back in 2009. Our family is also very grateful.
Some people on the forum have found this article a good read as they complete treatment and move onto surveillance and navigating life a way forward .
Others will be along to welcome you too .
Take special care ,
