Good morning I have recently been diagnosed with a tumour in my transverse colon. I am on a low fibre diet as the tumour is narrowing the colon. I have my first appointment with a medical oncologist next Tuesday as they are going to use chemo before removal. I’m obviously very apprehensive! At the moment my symptoms are ok - I was getting bad stomach cramps, felt weak and dizzy and lost weight but the cramps have eased and I’ve regained nearly a stone in weight so I’m a little confused! I am also being treated for hyperthyroidism and take carbimazole and propranolol. Thank goodness there are places to share and get to meet others who are sadly in a similar position.

  • Hi I was diagnosed with colon cancer in nov 21, I had 3 months of chemo tough but doable, then major surgery in April followed by 3 more months of chemo. I’m feeling ok get very tired but that’s acceptable after all this treatment, keep positive don’t google it opens up to many negative things gd luck kevin

Im pleased you found this space. There’s so many supportive members that have been through the same  I found that I didn’t feel so isolated and I talked here rather than my family
