Hi, i

In December 2021 I had a radical prostatectomy to remove my prostate as I was diagnosed with grade 4 cancer. I now have suspected bowel/colon/rectum cancer.

My wife lost her mother on 3rd July and the thought I may.have cancer again is devasting her.

I want to provide her with support,  can anyone help please.

It  would be good if a wife of a cancer patient could help her.

Thanking you in advance

David

  • Hi David, I’m sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I to have just been diagnosed a stage 4. It’s a recurrence bowel cancer . I’ve been in remission for 10 years so pretty gutted it’s back after such a long time. Have you bern offered any treatment? Sorry I’ve just re read and see you have a procedure.

  • Hi David

im sorry you have been dealt this devastating blow.
I had rectal cancer diagnosis last August and had a LAR op

I had noticed that my husband had lots of problems since his knee  replacement and our daughter was insisting that he get checked.
    Long story short

My daughter lost her baby Feb 13th. I had a LAR op August 4th and my hubby diagnosed with PD September 26th

You must be numb and trying to process what’s happening. Just be together and support each other. That’s all we could do  there weren’t words that could help. We didn’t want lots of visitors, some shopped for us but slowly we processed and picked ourselves up and dealt with things as they happened

    One day at a time

This space helped me and gave my family a break from some of my anxiety about my diagnosis

    Sending you a hug x

    Ann
