Hi all
I am new here so a brief intro. Male, 84 (GP says healthy 84 yo!), had colonoscopy in Dec 2019 which was OK.
Last few months when sittingI get a feeling of wanting to “go”. When I stand up this feeling disappears in seconds. Very odd. Is this a common symptom of bowel disease? Motions OK when I’m eating properly -fruit veg fibre etc.
I haven’t come across this searches on the Internet so I am puzzled and concerned it might be an early sign of something serious.
I would welcome thoughts on this rare(?) symptom

Hi plato25
This is our symptoms list for bowel cancer . As you will see it mentions a sensation of not emptying bowels straight after going to the toilet . Yours seems to be when rising but worthwhile getting it looked into as I think you might need the expertise of a colorectal surgeon or GP to be able to say if it’s anyway significant.
We are all for check ups here . Better to be on the safe side .
Take care ,
