I was referred to Manchester Royal Infirmary as my local consultant thought I'd be a good candidate for TEMS op, well after 3 weeks of waiting I went for a sigmoidoscopy today, I met Mr Donnelly before the procedure, the 1st thing he did was tell me I wasn't a candidate for the TEMS, as he says there's a nearby lymph node that's infected. He said I'd need to have my whole rectum qnd lymph node taken out. This is the same op as my local consultant was going to do. 3 weeks wasted, to tell me something I'd already been told. He said it could possibly be done robotically, but doubted it. He said someone would be in touch about the op, and had a quick look, said yes it correlated with the imagining sent from my local hospital consultant. Now I have to fight to have the op done at my local hospital. I'm still in limbo after 2 months
