Hi I've just joined yesterday. I've been diagnosed with bowel cancer in June. Just wanted to say hello.
Hello DadPool40 and welcome to the board. How has your treatment been going so far? Do you know what op you’ll be having? I had never been in hospital when I went in for mine but everything was explained beforehand and the pain was well managed. They encourage you to get up and about as soon as possible and once everything starts working again then you’re sent to recover at home.
Glad you’ve joined us and feel free to ask anything you’re worried about - there’s nothing too daft or embarrassing on here!
Take care
Karen x
Thanks Karen. The chemo hasn't been too bad so far. Only 2 sessions left. They will be removing 30cm of bowel but I'm told I have plenty more. You sound like your op went well. Did you have much passion at home ? How long before you could do everything days like normal again ? Thanks for replying.
Hi DadPool40
I wanted to say hello too and wish you well with your treatment. Sounds like the treatment is nearly done and you can have a well earned break before the surgery.
if you click on peoples names you can read their back stories
My plan was different to yours I was straight to surgery as that was the best way to treat mine.
Take care
Ann
