Hi I'm new my husband is presently going through chemo after having colon cancer all tumour has been removed but now having chemo to mop up as they say as a few cancer cells went into his lymph nodes having a bad reaction to the chemo and presently I hospital stopped his chemo tabs and specialist reviewing his treatment when he gets out and what his options are going forward just feels like packing it all in at present
Hi Jonesand welcome to the board. Is it the capecitabine tablets that are causing the problem? There are alternatives which your consultant should discuss with you. I think Parky2170 had an alternative and Court mentions one in the post below
Hi Jones
My mum had a few hospital admissions due to chemo . After some fluids and sorting out her electrolytes they were able to keep her on the same chemotherapy but at a reduced dose . It did the trick but it did give us such a fright .
To be honest she was not that good at hydrating herself and on chemotherapy it is essential. We had to measure that to ensure she did not have the same problem .
How are you doing ?
