Hello , I’m new here and tbh a bit lost of all that is happening. This is my story so far in the short form. After much investigation I was diagnosed with a NET on the tip of my appendix. I had this removed on 1/3 22. After being analysed it was found that the tumour was bigger than expected and therefore too close to another organ, which turned out to be the bowel. This resulted in me having a Right Hemicolectomy on 24/5/22, just over a week ago. Again the part that has been removed has been sent to be analysed and I’m waiting on results. I am lucky as the surgery was performed by keyhole and I didn’t require a stoma. I’m at home now recovering. I cannot even put into words how I feel as I just don’t know myself. I have a partner and 2 grown up children plus 2 wonderful grandchildren, who I am trying to protect.
Thank you for listening.
