I have been diagnosed with advanced bowel cancer have my meeting tomorrow 18th anyone help me with this terrible bloating and tightness cant even wear a bra. Any advice would be grateful I am on laxido and low fibre diet at the moment to keep bowels open.
Hi Pcc
Welcome to the forum . It’s definitely one to raise with your team tomorrow as they will want to find out the cause of the bloating . If it’s fluid they have a few options to help , some people get it drained others use diuretics but it definitely needs a consultant involved .
It is horrible as my mum had a spell of it . We had to send off for bra extenders , maternity clothes were the only thing that did not add to the issue . But your team should be able to help a little .
Our helpline staff might have some information.0808 808 0000
I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow.
Take care ,

HI Pcc
Although my cancer wasn’t advanced I had dreadful uncomfortable bloating. It’s a constant reminder so I bought two size up bralettes they sell at Asda very reasonable, straight shift dresses one size up as it was summer. Winter I had large tunics and leggings. I couldn’t wear anything too thick. It did make my days more comfy just loose clothes made all the difference
I hope this helps
Ann
