Treatment plane in place just waiting for the calles to see the chemo nurses and radiotherapy nurses in the hope to have it removed.
Who did you tell your family ???
Hi and a warm welcome to the board from me. Are you having chemoradiotherapy before surgery? I’ve attached a link to the post that Gemmary mentioned below and also a link aimed at younger children. I nominated my mum as the family contact point then I wasn’t having to take lots of phone calls. I also updated a lot of friends through a WhatsApp group

Hi Stacehitt
I’m sorry you find yourself here however there’s so many that have been through what you are it’s a comfort. I’m a lot older than you but I told who needed to know . I needed lifts and shopping bits and bobs a little help so I had to share my diagnosis with a limited few.
My children are grown and I told them before my operation in as positive way as I could. like Gemmary says the thread may help.
Good luck with your treatment
Ann
Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I'm a single mum 41 with one girl who's 11. I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectum cancer in October and was initially going to have surgery with chemo after so I hadn't planned on telling my daughter too much but given the size and age of my tumour (over 5cm and possibly 10 years old) doctors decided treatment first would be better so I felt I needed to let my girl know what was going on without being too thorough. I was offered Rapido clinical trial which for me was 5 days radiotherapy followed by 3 months (4 courses) of chemo of which I'm just half way through. Its important to let your family/friends know so that they are aware of what you're having to go through and can be part of your support network. I wish you all the very best with your treatment and that you don't have to wait too long for the call.
Kindest regards
Charlie x
