Bowel and skin

Hi  and welcome to the board. The waiting for scan results, meetings etc. is very stressful but once you have a plan in place then things will honestly feel a bit better.

Stay away from google - it is out of date, misleading and downright scary in places - stay on here and the bowel cancer uk board and we’ll be happy to support you through this.

There will be tough times ahead, both mentally and physically, so the fitter that you are the better so if you can get out for walk then please do even if you need a nap when you get back!

Bowel Cancer is notoriously slow growing but very treatable. If you click on people’s names then their profile page may show their treatment so far. Please keep posting and let us know how you’re getting on and we’ll be happy to share information and advice

Hi Paul, I had the same kind of shock .. thought kidney infection was just that but it was bowel tumour with an abscess thrown in, 7 half months in , 4 on chemo , few infections ,pleural effusion , liver tumour whole thing was out of blue !! Court sd to me tonight trust the evidence, listen to your body  , give yourself time to adjust, 

stay positive, you can do this .. ask questions, rely on colorectal nurses etc , don’t google is really good advice!! It’s not good place 

if you feel like exercising pace yourself as your body is fighting, next year my goal is to bag a Munro
