Just want answers colonoscopy on Thursday symptoms no better , feel alot of discomfort and scared everytime I go to the loo. Waiting is the hardest part.

  • I’ve had regular scans and CEA blood tests but this was my first coloniscopy since being diagnosed. Think I’ll have another CT scan in November for my 5 year anniversary then that’ll be it. My profile page shows what scans and checks I’ve had and no you’re not being nosey! I’m always happy to share info x

Thankyou it's all so confusing and  hopefully my results will come back fine , i know that I need another appointment for the polyp in my rectum as the couldn't do a biopsy on that, some of the info I got I'm a bit confused about to be honest but I guess time will make things clearer, I'm so happy for you xx

  • Hi Kareno62, so pleased to hear that your colonoscopy was clear, bet the lager tasted good Relaxed. and Chickadee49, if you have to have just a sigmoidoscopy the chances are you wont need a full bowel prep, I just had an enema, a solution to insert up inside you. Another fun thing to do and all part of the journey but a lot less hassle than moviprep.

Hope it all goes well, Cheers, John

Yer I did think that as I had a small one at the clinic a couple of weeks ago with no prep at all ,no warning either . I had a very upset tummy that day as well n she said not to worry about it lol, but the colonoscopy person when I said if I ever need another colonoscopy I want sedation she said I probably wouldn't warrant it as it won't be as far , so I said oh well least I won't need the moviprep again and she said probably will as they want the bowel clean. But guess I'll find out in the next week or 2 .and think I'd pass out if I have to do a enema myself x
