Am new to group. Was diagnosed April 2020 with stage 4 colon and have been receiving chemo every two weeks. Originally after CT scan was told it was shrinking but last scan showed I had a Kurkenberg tumour in pelvis area! Am due to change chemo to Folfox. Feeling lost at moment. Just turned 80. Has anyone had this?
Hi
So sorry to hear you are feeling lost . We have a helpline 0808 808 0000 and the staff would be more than happy to chat to you in person if that’s any help .
If you use the search function ( magnifying glass at the top right ) you can type in Krukenberg and read others information on it . Is it the ovary area ? Someone was on the forum very recently with it and there is also the womb group to draw some information from .
My own mum has had a few bumps along the way but you did very well with first line treatment . That’s a lot of chemo ! Did you keep well ?
Lots of information on Folfox too so we can Hopefully support you are you deal with this next round of chemotherapy .
My mum had capecitabine the tablet form and the Oxaliplatin infusion . What did you have previously?
It took a few cycles to get into a good routine and make sure it was a tolerable dose but they worked well with her .
Take care ,
Court
