To be honest even as a carer the point from diagnosis to getting the treatment plan is by far the worst in many ways but once the treatment plan emerges it feels very much like a solution.
The amount of information is overwhelming and scary but slowly it starts to progress .
There is actually quite a lot of people on the forum just slightly ahead of you so you will be able to get a lot of current information from them too!
All the best with your MRI . Once that is completed the MDT should get together quite quickly and give you more direction .

Hi and a warm welcome from me too. The waiting for scans, results, meeting etc. is very stressful but you will feel a bit better once you have a treatment plan in place. It’s a shock and there is a lot to take in but Bowel cancer is very treatable nowadays.
Please keep posting and we’ll all be happy to help you through this
Take care

I have recently been diagnosed with rectal cancer, i know exactly how you feel.
So far i have had a colonoscopy, mri and ct scan, for me the moviprep has been the worse experience, i would dread to have that again.
The scans were not as bad as i first feared, just hard to lay still for the time it takes for the mri, especially when an itch starts and you cant move to deal with it.
I just closed my eyes and concentrated on the smooth fm piped into your head phones. Yes the mri scan is noisy.
I am due to have another mri scan next week with contrast, i am not as anxious this time as i was as i know what to expect.
I am finding all the test a worry as while this period is happening, my tumour is quietly doing its thing. I cant wait to start fighting back, starting with chemo.
The chemo is a worry for me but at least i know i am fighting back against this thing.
Best wishes to you
Everything moving fast since Colonoscopy MRI Friday and consultant Monday 11am
All the very best
. That’s a lot in one day but saves any further delays.
