Hi Mirella and welcome to the group
I had anterior resection in January this year (after diagnosis, age 46) and am now on oral chemo capecitebane and doing generally well. Hoping all goes well with your upcoming surgeries. It does seem very daunting and the wait is sometimes the worst bit. You will get through it. Keep us posted. There are many people on this site who have shared very similar experiences and I find it very helpful to hear this.
All the best take care.
Hi Mirella
ive recently been diagnosed with rectal cancer too. I’m undergoing 12 weeks neoadjuvant chemo treatment, then radiotherapy and then the APR operation. I’m just coming to the end of my first week of chemo and apart from the pins and needles it has been fairly manageable. How did you find the chemo?
keep well and strong,
caroline
