I had the first colonoscopy one year after the operation last February, and I was frightened they would find something. After taking one glass of the Moviprep I decided that it was so bad that I would never take it again, but I persevered and took about three quarters of it, I think it is madness that at 8 stone I am expected to take the same amount as a man that weighs 20 stone, everything was running clear after the first dose. Everything was ok and I haven’t got to have another one for a couple of years thank god, but I think they could find a better solution to take than the moviprep. Also I asked for the sedation before the colonoscopy, which I didn’t think worked at all I still felt everything, but I suppose I might be smaller after the operation. But I feel very relieved it’s all over for a while.
I bet most importantly that you’re so relieved that your colonoscopy was all clear. I read of people on here taking alternatives to moviprep? The sedition I had pre colonoscopy didn’t work for me either I even had extra during the colonoscopy but still I was so alert, they said I was too anxious for the sedition to work?
All the best with your colonoscopy . Hold onto the fact you have good CEA readings .
Hope it brings good news .

I felt exactly the same and was also worried, and it sounds as if my toilet habits were the same as yours, but since the colonoscopy they are more regular, and I think I was better organised with the colonoscopy this time I stayed near the bathroom put dust sheet down in case of accidents, and after taking the initial dose and everything was running clear, I only took I more glass of it. When I had the colonoscopy I asked if it all looked ok and they said it was clear and everything was visible. I only weigh eight stone and they are telling me to take the same amount as someone weighing 20 stone.
