The treatment plans coming together really does help . It puts all the bits together and adds structure . I hope you hear quickly after the MDT meeting .
Hopefully you won’t need a stoma but plenty of support and information here if you do .

I got the results today and I'm lucky in that there is no spread and I don't need radiotherapy prior to the surgery. I've got a telephone consultation re post op and a face to face meeting with the consultant booked. I've been told that I will have a stoma which hopefully will be temporary. No date for the surgery due to covid but they are putting into place in case a cancellation comes up. I'm feeling positive and realise that I'm luckier than others.
All the best, , if I can help I will, check on my name for details. (((Hugs)))
Welcome. It’s an uncertain time I know and hopefully all will be sorted quickly. You have a good positive attitude which is good... it took us a while to feel anything but scared. But 6 months in we are happy and optimistic, just took a while to get there. It’s great there’s no spread- makes it so much better. Best wishes with your surgery and check back here often! If you have a wobbly time emotionally do feel free to call the nurses at Macmillan... they are brilliant.
Hi I am also lady newly diagnosed last Wednesday 9 days ago now. Awaiting an assessment from ICU anaesthetist to decide if well enough for surgery or have chemo palliative care. Angry and frightened.
Would it help to say a little more about your emotions. Anger and being frightened is what so many of us feel. And it can help to write about it so those feelings have a chance to escape. I keep a journal. Others find it helpful to share here. Whatever works for you, please give them wings.
