Hi All
Have low position rectal cancer diagnosed in October 25. So far I have had 25 sessions of radiotherapy coupled with capecitabine tablets followed by capox capecitabine 4 cycles. Currently coming to the end of my 4th cycle. Frustratingly I have no idea how well the treatment has worked and have to wait until 4th cycle to get re scanned. One this I have noticed with capox capecitabine chemo cycles is that I tend to get headaches radiating from the back of my head especialy on an evening. This tends to come towards the end of the 2nd week of the cycle. I has really concerned about this and consulted the chemo nurse and my GP who had me take blood pressure which was high and so have been prescribed tablet to lower my BP so will see how this goes on. Also have constant dull abdominal pain and still got straining narrow bowel movements which by I thought would have improved but are just as they were before my diagnosis. The only thing that has improved has been the bright red blood in poo and and toilet paper which has visibly completely cleared up since a couple of motnhs ago. Just wondering how long after my chemo has finished will I feel normal again> Anyone else on here has similar sympoms?
