Hi Lucy42e63d1c and a warm welcome to the board. There’s a lot of things that can cause blood in your stool like ibs, colitis, diverticulitis, piles etc. so please don’t assume it’s cancer. The fact that you’re getting checked out is good so stay away from google and try to distract yourself until your colonoscopy.
Only 1 in 10 colonoscopies results in a bowel cancer diagnosis and they will chat with you afterwards about what they’ve seen and any action they’ve taken. Getting stressed will cause your tummy to churn and then you’ll stress some more so try to stay calm until you know what you’re dealing with ( if anything)
Take care and please let us know how you get on?
Karen x
