Good Evening, hope you are all getting by x
it’s been a while since my last message sorry things have been a little strange!
so my Husband has just finished his 4th Chemo session, when he first started we were told that what ever side affects, or how he felt after the 1st he would feel the same.. this is not true, he has had the same side affects due to the thee lots of chemo he has been having but how he has been feeling at home has been different. He’s doing really well to be fair. Very proud of him.
we have this week where we have no hospital appointments (which is always greatly received
Next week he has some scans, a CT scan to double check it hasn’t spread since his last CT scan he had in December, and then a MRI scan to see if the chemo is working. We have everything crossed it all worth while
Some days he does say is it working? Am I going through all this for nothing??
in April he has an appointment Medical Oncology & Lymphomaedema is is very worried about this as he doesn’t know what it’s about- can anyone shed any light on that, anyone else had that kind of appointment?
While mark has also been going through all this I have had a full robotic hysterectomy to remove everything and the cancer they found in January 25, I am doing well, and we are looking after each other. It’s hard us both being off work and not able to do much. But we do laugh at times and keeps us sane. We try and walk everyday.
I have an appointment on the 13th March to make sure everything has gone and that I won’t require any chemo or radiotherapy again everything crossed.
Today I joined a group of ladies who have had a hysterectomy and it was lovely, very informative- is there anything like that that they do for us going through Bowel Cancer?
I wish you all the very best on your own journey and I send lots of love to all ️
Thank you for reading x

I'm so glad that things are progressing well for you and your husband. You guys were dealt a tough hand.
I don't know exactly what your husband's appointment is about but it is likely a followup on his progress and next steps. They do alot of that (eye roll).
Keep your sense of humor, it is a gift in tough times.
I’m so glad to hear your news my love. You are so brilliant and upbeat and it is truly lovely to hear that things are moving it the right direction. Sending you love and strength and I’m really happy you’ve joined to group to focus on some “me time” for you as well as everything you give to your husband.
Take care sweetie and be gentle

Hi WaltD sorry to hear you and Mark have been ill at the same time but inspiring how you’re so positive.
I’ll be thinking of you on Thursday 13th and hoping you’ll not have to have any more chemo ever … that’s the day I’ll be getting the CT “set up” for the start of my 5wk ChemoRadiotherapy.
There’s so many wonderful stories of courage and hope and kindness on this forum. Sending good wishes your way WaltD. Keep walking and laughing and smiling!!!
