Hi all
I had anterior resection for a low rectal tumour 4 years ago which unfortunately recurred in the margin so I had an AP resection last year
I am in my 50s and still very active with running and going to the gym. I get pelvic pain when I exercise sometimes which a physio thinks is from my pelvic floor which has been massively damaged by the surgery and radiotherapy
I can't find any info about pelvic floor problems after AP resection. Does anyone have any experience of it?
I want to keep exercising as much as I can
Many thanks
Hi,
mare you having treatment with NHS or privately?
I have treatment, surgery and follow ups privately, my doctor send me to a physiotherapist specialist in rectal and pelvic floor problem. Not nice to do it but if you are willing to go through it ask your factor about it.
