Trying to stay positive and keep getting on with my life as best I can but they don’t make it easy. Diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in feb 2024, not curable but treatable and inoperable at this stage for the foreseeable. On my 12th round of chemo last report no spread (although it had already metastasised to my liver and peritoneum). Just looking for some help. I have the opportunity to go on a south Caribbean cruise but have been unable to get insurance for the cancer, I have just been declined numerous times and have tried the companies that Christie’s (uk cancer centre) give out plus the government site but have had no luck. My consultant is happy for me to go and prepared to write a letter to the insurance company but they are not interested. Does anyone have any advice. Just trying to get a liittle respite from this onslaught of chemo plus injections which are horrible.
