It's been a month since my last update, so here goes
As of just this morning, myself and my family are somewhat overjoyed. After surgery my consultant told me he had got it all out, right colon, some transverse colon and some internal abdominal wall. Ten mm of the ends were clear but pathology detected some microscopic bits in the abdominal wall and he recommended I talk to the Oncologist with a view to post surgery chemo'.
I'm just back from the Oncologist and he said, taking everything into consideration the benefit of chemo' for me would be about 1% and didn't think it worth the risk of the complications that can arise. So here I am just about clear. I will be monitored by the surgical team via consultations but these will be telephone call ones so I wont need to make the trip to Hospital either.
I must admit the journey from diagnosis in January to now has been somewhat stressful but I think I'll have a large J D shortly.
My joy is a little saddened knowing there are folk/friends on here who aren't so lucky as me and my prayers go out to you all.
Many thanks for the supporting messages everyone.
