Well after having a week away. Now worried about my appointment with my surgeon on Wednesday don’t n what to expect my tumour was 5 cm and high up in thr rectum before my 5 week treatment ? Wonder if anyone on here had any experience off this kind tumour ,the surgeon spoked about the robotic surgery has anyone had that? thanks just feeling a little frightened.
Update appointment yesterday went really well tumour has reduce by a large amount , no enlarge lymph nodes reported.
Surgeon says there was two options wait see how more it shirks it’s only eight weeks chemotherapy and radiotherapy or he operates which would be in the next four weeks which would means ten to twelve weeks after treatment. He wouldn’t recommend the wait and see option but it would be my choice.I have decided on the operation has anyone else had these options,
Hi Fraser1
I have just replied to Honeysuckle on the thread below whose husband is navigating the same .
I have seen watch and wait go in both directions here !
Are you leaning more to the operation side ? One thing for sure you are a good responder and that’s great news in itself .
Take care ,
