Hi everyone,
my mom is on her third week of radiation therapy, and she takes chemo tables. She has localised stage 3 cancer. I am really worried because after 3 weeks of the therapy she is in agony and now prescribed morphine.
Does that mean that the radiation therapy and chemo tables are not working ? I am just a bit worried about my mom because I am not home at the moment. She has 2 more weeks to go and then will start chemotherapy on a drip.
many advice or comments are welcomed. I was just hoping that the therapy would bring down the pain by now.
Thanks
Hi ,
So sorry to hear about your mum .
I can understand your concern but it’s not always the case . It’s very hard once treatment starts to separate if pain is coming from the treatment or the tumour . My own mum had pain as her tumour shrank .
Is she getting scanned soon ? It’s the best way to know for sure .
