I wondered if someone could help me with advice.? My mum has terminal bowel cancer diagnosed last September, I came on this forum but haven't been on for awhile now. But recently my mum has started to feel the cold had a few bad falls and infections, her mind is getting confused and now a couple of times she hasn't slept has she can't keep her legs still and she's getting herself into a ball and doesn't want us to touch her but she says she's not in pain she's not ate since yesterday afternoon and she feels cold but got a load of items of clothing on!! We've rang the ambulance service before for her over something else and they was over 5 hours coming out then said she would probably have to wait in the ambulance maybe for another 5 hours which she can't do. Me and my dad just don't know what to do. Could someone please give us advice.. thank you x

  • Hi . I think you need to ring either her doctor or the nhs 111 line. Something like a water infection can cause confusion and is easily treatable but you need professional medical advice in my opinion.

Please let us know how you get on

    Take care

Thank you, we've got the doctors coming out!! She has had water infections but they've tested and no showing of infections this time x

Is she perhaps depressed? Or reacting to the trauma of her diagnosis..it may be something you should consider. Speaking as a bowel cancer ‘victim’ myself
