So my partner is on no’5 out of 6 lots of chemo, scan booked for 27th June and oncologist 11th July. We’re praying for good news, he’s got stage 4 with mets to lymph and peritoneal. We’d love a miracle but we aren’t that naive to believe it will have all gone after this first lot of chemo. I know everyone is individual, but how many rounds of chemo have you or people you know had? (I don’t know the correct terminology for rounds/ cycles etc) He’s still really ‘fit’ and ‘healthy’ other than the cancer, he’s 43 next month and positive as much as we can be. X
Hi . You can say rounds or cycles! I think a lot would depend on which chemo people were having and how well it is being tolerated. There are people on the Bowel Cancer UK Board who have been on it for years and carry on with life as normal -Lirio345 has had more than 100 rounds! It sounds like he’s coping with it well and you’re both feeling as positive as you can be so everything crossed for good results in july
Take care
Karen x
Wow really!! He is tolerating it really well, with an added targeted therapy thrown in! He has fatigue but nothing that he can’t handle. I’m going to search bowel cancer uk board, just want to have all the right questions to ask for the oncology meeting x thanks Karen for replying x
