Hello! My ex's brother (36 y/o) has recently been diagnoised with colon cancer and is currently going through chemo. My ex is in a bad state mentally and I'm trying to find some info on support groups for family members, either online or face to face (NW London) to help him deal with this better. A lot of the anxiety is to do with the brother being in Brazil and the constant doubts whether he's being treated correctly. Very grateful for any advice I can pass onto him.
Hi It must be very hard for your ex being so far away and it’s also hard to reassure you that he’s getting the right treatment without more information.
Please encourage him to ring the support team on here for help. They are available 7 days a week from 8-8 on 0808 808 00 00 and they’ll also be able to advise where he can go locally - Maggies have a lot of support centres throughout the country.
There is also a friends and family support page on here

Colon cancer is pretty slow growing but very treatable - if you click on my name then you can see the treatment that I had and I’m now 5 years clear
Take care
Karen x
