Good evening fellow cancer warriors I will be having my rectum removed tomorrow and having a life long stoma bag which to my mind is no biggy ️️ I had to fast for 5 1/2 hours which is nothing.

Tonight I had a thing called “preload” for pre-operative is a food for special dietary requirements taken before operation, and again tomorrow morning to help with recovery apparently. As it’s full of goodies that the body needs.

Consultant is hopefully going to Robotically, or Keyhole and very last result open after he is finished the plastic consultant will give me a lovely new Barbie bum

A little worried how calm I am still feeling, not sure as there are no other options maybe why

Good luck. I think it's good you're calm. Positivity and calm wins the day always. There are always plenty of people to chat with, on here, however you are feeling!

All the best for tomorrow pippa , I was in your position 6wks ago its is very good to be calm and bein very positive is key I found , lucky for me I had part of my colon removed where tumor was , had some infected lymph nodes so chemo is the last part of my treatment which I haven't started yet , I am fully recovered from the surgery now tho , good luck again and stay strong , we are all warrior's

Hi Jo, it’s also 6 weeks today I had my tumour removed and lymph nodes removed. Some cancer detected in the nodes so will start chemo in May. Good luck and best wishes
