Hi, don’t really know where to start, I’m 34 and have just been diagnosed with bowel and liver cancer. My emotions are so high and I have two beautiful children. I am so scared that I’m going to leave them behind. I am not aware of how far my cancer is i am awaiting on that from my consultant. 3 weeks ago I was fit and healthy I thought on holiday with my family then all of a sudden went down hill with a large mass on my liver and blood out of my back passage. I feel like I’m in a dream and I’m going to wake up soon and all this is just a big mistake but I suppose I’m just kidding myself. I’m so emotional I know I need to be strong for my kids there so young and don’t deserve it. I have an 11cm tumour on my liver with several secondaries and a 4cm tumour in my bowel. Please can someone tell me I’m going to be ok all I have read is I will more than likely only have 5 years to live. Help and advice would be much appreciated love to you all

Hi ,

That is a fear many people have but they will do their upmost to start chemotherapy and most people do ! They will have a good plan for you !

It is natural to worry, but you will get more information from your Dr's soon. I am trying to keep positive, its hard, but save your energy, your not alone! Please talk to a friend don't worry alone! X

Hey, tbh I don’t know it was discovered by accident tbh , showed up on another scan I had for lungs , thankfully clear, untill you in more about tumours etc you will be upside down, I believe knowledge is power and fear of unknown is an actual thing !! I know every time I feel a twinge my head says uhoh !! That’s normal.. when do you see oncology? I have clinic on Friday and I’ve got list of questions as when they told me liver lesion was cancer I was too shocked to ask anything.. there’s lots of treatment available,if you aren’t happy with wt they say ask for 2nd opinion , and u are right to stay away from google, it’s a dark place with wrong info sometimes
