Hi can anyone share with me their experience good or bad of bowel cancer that has spread to para aortic lymph nodes? My husbands bowel cancer is now in these nodes and he is now palliative for this reason.
Hi Hayleyc89. I’ve had a quick search on here but the most recent post was 3 years ago although court replied so she might have some more up to date info. Have you tried posting on the Bowel Cancer UK board too? There’s quite a few posts on there if you type it in the search box
It’s a while ago since I joined so can’t really remember! I don’t know how much it will let you look at without logging in but here’s the search that I did x
My bowel cancer had also spread to para aortic lymph node and was receiving palliative chemo. Unfortunately my bowel ruptured at the beginning of June so my chemo has been suspended until I recover from the surgery. Last oncology appointment my consultant said they would wait until they thought I would be strong enough, so they would check each month. Next appointment is beginning of September, if I have any news I will update you.
Hi, I’ll check my records but I think my husband had Sabr at Bristol for lymph nodes in the same location. Apologies for being vague, we’ve just had results of last scan, and I’m struggling a bit, but I will check and let you know.
